Problems with freezing spray nozzles on Peugeot 106 Diesel (year 2001)

Spray nozzles frozen

Hello folks! My Peugeot 106 Diesel (built in 2001) is currently causing a bit of trouble. I have noticed that the spray nozzles are freezing. Could this possibly be due to a defect in the spray nozzle heater or am I making a mistake? If anyone has experience with this problem and can give me some tips, I would be very grateful. How did you solve the problem and how did the garage work on it? I look forward to your answers!

Hi, I have had the same problem with my Peugeot 206 Diesel (built in 2003). I am not a professional, but have had some experience with cars. I first thought it might be the heater, but it turned out that the cable connection was faulty. I took my car to the garage and they checked the cable connections and fixed it. I paid 95 euros for this. Could you perhaps give more details about your vehicle? Maybe I can help you then. All the best!

Thanks for the advice. I hadn't thought that the problem could possibly be caused by the cable connection. Let's see if it is the same for me. My last service was at 97262 km mileage and until then there were never any problems with the jets. Maybe I should go back to the garage and have the cable connections checked. No sooner said than done, I'll let you know how it turns out! Thanks again and let it rip!

Hello back! Glad my advice has helped you. With these things it's always complicated to determine the exact cause, but with 97262 km and the age of the car, it may well be that a cable is faulty somewhere. The trip to the garage is annoying, but it definitely makes sense. Once you know exactly what's wrong, it would be great if you could let us know here in the forum. That will certainly help others too. I would definitely be interested to know if it was actually the cables! I wish you lots of patience and hope that the problem is solved quickly! Keep your fingers crossed! See you soon and let it rip!

Hello again! I'm glad to hear that the advice was helpful. It's always a bit tricky with mechanical things like this and with just under 100,000 km on the clock, problems can crop up. I think your decision to go to the garage is definitely the right one. Keep us posted, maybe checking the cable connections will really help. Hopefully it's nothing more serious and your Peugeot will be back in shape soon. Any questions or updates, keep them coming! Thanks again for your kind words! Stay tuned and hopefully all goes well. See you soon and happy driving!
