It's definitely worth having the software values checked at the garage. In my case, it was the case that the signals from the fuel pump were not being passed on correctly to the engine control unit. The engine wasn't getting the right amount of fuel and that caused all this stuff like uneven engine running, misfiring and so on. Adjusting the software then corrected the whole thing. But be prepared that it might be more expensive if the pump is broken and needs to be replaced. So have everything checked out at the workshop.
