Problems with engine light and starter on my Seat Leon

Check engine light on

Vehicle starts briefly and goes out again

Engine shuts off by itself

Hello everyone, I am having problems with my Seat Leon. The engine light on the dashboard is constantly on. When I try to start the car, it stays on for a few seconds and then turns itself off. I have tried troubleshooting the error with the OBD, but the error persists on the dash and the problem keeps occurring. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I could fix it? I appreciate any help.

Start by checking the gas cap to ensure it's tightly closed, as a loose gas cap can trigger the engine light. If the cap is secure, consider checking for any vacuum leaks in the engine bay, as these can also cause the light to come on. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

I also had the same problem and I solved it by uncapping and resealing the gas cap.

If the gas cap is not the issue, try inspecting the spark plugs and ignition coils for any signs of wear or damage, as these can also trigger the engine light. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any questions!
