Hey, thanks for the quick feedback. Good to know I'm not alone here. Well, my Fortuner with 274457 km mileage, currently shows no other errors or unusual noises, only the electric seat is spinning. But I didn't get a message, I just noticed that it wasn't working as usual. Everything was ok at the last service, no idea why it's happening now. Really annoying, I tell you. I'm afraid I'll have to go back to the workshop soon.

Hey, that's really strange about the power seat. With such high mileage it certainly wouldn't be surprising to encounter a few problems, but you say everything was fine at your last service check, so it can be a real pain. I can imagine you don't really fancy having to go back to the garage, but it's probably the best option. Based on my experience, it's important that you describe the problem in detail so that the technicians know what to look for. And if they check the control unit, it might help, because sometimes the cause of such malfunctions is not obvious. Nevertheless, before you do that, you might want to check if there are any loose cables under the seat or if something has gotten tangled in the rails/mechanisms - you never know. Of course it could also be a software problem, but it's good to check all possibilities. I hope this helps you. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the extra tips and your encouragement, it's always great to have someone who understands and makes suggestions. I will check under the seat first and see if there is anything wrong. As far as I remember, my younger daughter dropped something there the other day, so maybe that has something to do with it. And if that doesn't help, it's probably off to the garage. I'll let you know what I find out. Thank you very much and see you soon!

Hello! Sorry to hear about your Fortuner's electric seats issue. I haven't faced this exact problem before, but have you checked the seat's wiring or fuses yet? Also, how was your experience with the workshop so far?
Before you head to the workshop, it's a good idea to check the fuse for the electric seats. It's located in the fuse box, and your car's manual should have a diagram showing which fuse is for the seats. If the fuse is blown, replacing it might solve your problem. If the fuse is fine, then it's likely a more complex issue and a trip to the workshop would be necessary.
Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Toyota Hilux. I'm not a car mechanic or anything, but I have a bit of experience with cars. In my case, the control unit was defective, a rare problem that cost me around 1000 euros. Of course, it's important to have a reliable garage that can identify the problem correctly. We all know how annoying it is to go back several times and have the same problem again. But about your Fortuner, can you perhaps tell us a bit more about the symptoms? Are you getting any error messages? Does the car have any other problems, noticeable noises or similar? The more information you give me, the better I might be able to help you.
