Hey, thanks for the answer! That sounds similar to my Alhambra. Exactly, I mainly drive short distances and only rarely on the highway. It's the Alhambra Style model with a 2 TDI engine and DSG. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about fault codes as I don't have an OBD2 scanner. But it seems that a DPF change is unavoidable, if I understand correctly. 1325 euros is a lot of money, but if it helps... Have you had any problems since the repair?

Hey, it was almost the same problem with my 2015 Seat Alhambra Diesel. The indicator light came on and the engine wasn't running smoothly either. Like you, the regeneration of the DPF was also faulty. Like you, I mainly drove short distances and the DPF can't free itself properly because the engine never really warms up. Unfortunately, the only thing that helped me was changing the filter. The workshop removed the DPF and replaced it with a new one. That cost me around 1200 euros at the time. Since then, the problems have actually been solved. I now pay more attention to driving longer distances regularly to keep the filter clear. So I would recommend that you first have the fault memory read out at the garage. They can then tell you whether it's actually the DPF or perhaps something else. And then, for better or worse, you'll have to bite the bullet and have the filter changed if necessary. I know it's a lot of money, but the car will run like new again afterwards. Hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for your advice. It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. Your experience sounds very similar to my current situation. I think I will follow your advice and take the car to the garage to have the fault memory read. I will prepare myself to spend the money on a new DPF, it does seem to be the case that replacement is necessary here. Your cost figures at least give me an idea of what to expect. And yes, I will try to drive more long distances in future to keep the DPF in good shape. I have to admit that I have neglected this up to now. Thanks again for your help! I'll get back to you when I have any news.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Seat Leon Diesel, but I'm really not a mechanic. In my case, the DPF was very heavily loaded. After several visits to the garage and long discussions, it was fixed for 1325 euros. But without detailed information about your car, I can only speculate & it's difficult for me to help you specifically. Can you please clarify what fault codes were displayed, the exact model version, whether you regularly drive long distances or whether the car is mainly driven in town? These details could really help. Hope your problem gets solved soon!
