Problems with cruise control in Peugeot 107 model year 2012 - looking for solutions and experiences

Cruise control without function

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Peugeot 107, year 2012 with diesel engine. The cruise control is not working and there are errors stored. I suspect that the cruise control not working could be the problem, but I'm not sure. Have any of you ever had a similar problem and how did you solve it? What was your experience with the garage? I would be grateful for any tips!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 207, built in 2014. I'm not a car expert either, but I have gained some experience with cars over the years! In my case, the engine control unit was defective. They fixed it in the workshop. It cost quite a bit, just under 1000 euros, but now it's running like clockwork again! What kind of engine do you have and how many kilometers have you driven? With this information I might be able to help you a bit more, right? Best regards!

Hey, my Peugeot now has 141784 KM on it and there were no particular problems at the last service, everything actually ran quite smoothly. I hope it's not as expensive as yours, but thanks for the tip about the engine control unit. Maybe I'll drop by another garage, maybe they can find something. Thanks and best regards!

Hey, at this mileage it's not unusual for something to break, even if it's annoying of course. There are other potential culprits with cruise control, for example the clutch, brake or accelerator pedal switches. These can also cause a failure. But it's also quite possible that the engine control unit is faulty, as in my case. If you're unsure, definitely have it checked at the garage. But of course it would be great if it costs less! Keep us up to date and good luck! Best regards!

Hey, yeah, I think I'll take your advice to heart and get the car checked at the garage. Fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive! I just hope it's just a minor fault that's easy to fix. I'll keep you posted in any case and thanks again for your tip! Best regards!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 107, also built in 2012. The cruise control didn't work for me either, and error codes were saved. It turned out that the problem was with the clutch switch. This was defective and was sending the wrong signals to the control unit, which meant that the cruise control could not be activated. I would recommend that you first check the clutch switch and also the brake pedal switch. These are common causes of such problems. A simple readout of the error codes in the workshop can often provide clarity. In my case, replacing the clutch switch was a relatively cheap and quick solution. The workshop costs were also kept within limits. If you have some technical knowledge, you could also replace the switch yourself, it's not too complicated a task. Hope this helps you! Best regards!
