Problems with check engine light and engine performance on Seat Tarraco Diesel 2019 - suspected defective EGR valve

Hello everyone, I'm having problems with my 2019 Seat Tarraco Diesel. The check engine light comes on, the engine shuts itself off, loses power and is unstable. In addition, the exhaust smells strongly and the car shakes when idling. I suspect that the fault is coming from the EGR valve. Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2017 Seat Ateca diesel. I have limited experience with cars, so I referred the problem to my garage. They found that the EGR valve was faulty and stuck. The repair cost 355 euros. Could you perhaps provide a little more information about your vehicle, such as mileage and whether you've had similar problems before? Then I might be able to help you more precisely.
