Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2011 BMW 7 Series. At the last workshop visit, we had to look at the fuel injection. Incorrect values from the fuel pressure sensor can definitely cause black smoke and increased fuel consumption, as the engine electronics can mess up the fuel mix. But don't worry, if it was something serious, other symptoms would occur. The juddering could also indicate a problem with the injectors or even the high pressure pump, but this is relatively easy to fix. The mechanics should be able to get a good handle on your problem. Hi, I just came across your thread and would like to share my experience. I had the fuel pressure sensor fixed on my car, a fancy Audi A6. Since then I've never had a problem with it again. The workshop guys did a great job. That's what I call service! It cost me around €150 to get the sensor fixed. Everything was back to normal afterwards!
