Hey, thanks for your answer! My Mii has now done about 142356 km. Another symptom I've noticed is that the temperature display often goes crazy. It suddenly shows temperatures that are far too high, even though the engine is still cold and the fan is hardly running. I went for my last service in the middle of last year and nothing was found, but the problem with the air conditioning only started after that. Maybe it all has something to do with the fact that the car isn't really the youngest anymore. What do you think? See you then!

Hey, but it sounds like the temperature sensor could also be faulty. If it is not working properly, it is sending incorrect signals to the engine control unit, which would explain the strange temperature readings. However, there may also be a fault with the thermostat. Regardless of whether the compressor is broken or not, I would definitely have it checked in a workshop. You can only speculate on the internet - the experts on site have the right equipment to make an accurate diagnosis. Hope this helps a little! See you then!

Hey, I hadn't even thought about that. Didn't think there could be so many potential causes. Thanks, that was super helpful and gave me a lot of clues for the conversation with the garage. See you then!

Hi, I have a Seat Ibiza (2005, petrol) and had a similar problem. In general, I have an average knowledge of cars, so I'm not a complete crack, but I'm not completely bananas either. In my case, it was the control unit that was broken and had to be replaced. In the end, it cost me a total of €880 at my garage. Of course, it could also be this part in your case, but I would need to know more details about your car to say for sure. How many kilometers does it already have on the clock? And have you noticed any other symptoms? Please give me more information about your vehicle, then I might be able to help you better. See you then!
