Hi, thanks for the quick reply! I haven't read out the fault memory yet as I don't have my own reader. But I will arrange this at my local garage and ask with your information in mind. Incidentally, the last service on my 108 was at around 103,225 km. Hopefully it's just a faulty cable or plug connection in my case. That wouldn't be too expensive. Thanks again for the tip!

Hi, no problem, always happy to help! It's definitely a good idea to have the fault memory read out. This is the only way to find out exactly what is wrong. Hopefully it really is just a faulty sensor or a broken cable. If the car is otherwise running well and it hasn't been too long since the last service, the chances are not bad. And as you say, having a faulty cable or connector replaced is not that expensive. So keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing more serious! Feel free to get in touch if you have any news. I can't wait to see what comes out! Stay tuned and good luck!

Hi again, thanks for your encouraging words! I will have the fault memory read out and hope that it really is just a faulty cable or a broken plug connection. In any case, your experience gives me a little more hope that it's nothing more serious. I'll keep you posted as soon as I know more. Thanks again for your help and have a great day! See you soon!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 106 petrol engine from 2013. I'm not a car expert, but I have a bit of experience with my own car. The garage near me found the fault quite quickly at the time: Cable or plug connection from the sensor was defective. Had to pay around 95 euros for it. To be able to help more precisely, it would be good to know whether any error codes are displayed on your 108 and what they are. Have you ever read out the fault memory? Hope that helps!
