Hey, thanks for your quick advice. Hm, I honestly haven't looked at the plug connection yet. That sounds like something I could check. Regarding your question, my Q5 already has a good 245817 km on it. The last inspection was a few weeks ago. So it looks well used, but not dead. Let's see if the main relay will work. I'll keep you up to date!

Hey, no problem! If you've had the same problem before, you're happy to share your experience. So that's quite a lot of mileage! But as you say, as long as the car is well looked after, it can still manage many more kilometers. So I would definitely recommend checking the plug connection. And if you're not sure how to do it or what to look out for, it's always a good idea to ask someone who knows - be it a friend or the professionals at the garage. In any case, keep me posted! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can solve the problem quickly. A broken main relay is of course annoying, but in the best-case scenario it's the only thing that needs to be repaired.

Hey, really nice of you to reply so quickly. I think I'll have a look at the plug connection and get a specialist on board if necessary. Your experience with the main relay definitely gives me hope that it's not as bad as I feared. Exactly, my Audi already has a few kilometers on it, but as you say, with good care it will hopefully last a while. I'll let you know as soon as I have any news. Thanks again for the help and keep your fingers crossed!

Hi, you're in luck, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Audi Q3 petrol, I'm not a car expert but have a bit of experience with cars. So if I understand correctly, you can't get the car to start? I took mine to the garage because it wouldn't start either and the problem was actually the main relay of the engine control unit. They replaced it and it cost 222 euros. The reason for this was a defective plug connection that had to be repaired. Have you already checked whether the plug connection is also defective? What model designation and mileage does your Q5 have? Then I might be able to help a little more.
