Thanks for the quick reply and the tip! My Eos last ran without any problems about 148262 km ago. So, I didn't make any changes and also went for a regular inspection. Quite strangely, the car just doesn't make a sound when I turn the key. No ticking, no clicking, nothing. Do you think this could also be to do with air in the system? Thank you!

Hey, no problem! Hmm, if there's no attempt to start at all, so no ticking or clicking, then I'd say it's probably not due to air in the fuel system. In that case, you usually at least get a ticking sound, or the car starts briefly and then goes straight off again. However, it was similar with my Golf at the time, where it was due to the starter motor, which was defective. The starter motor turns the engine and enables the car to start. If the starter motor is faulty, nothing happens when you turn the ignition key, just as you described. So I would recommend that you have the starter checked. Hopefully it's nothing too expensive. Good luck with that!

Hello again! That makes sense. Wouldn't have thought it could be the starter motor, but now that you mention it, that might make sense. I'll take your advice and have the garage check the starter motor. Hopefully it won't be an expensive repair. And once again, thanks for your help!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2010 VW Golf. I'm not a car professional, but I do have some experience. When I took my car to the garage, I was told that air in the fuel system was the culprit. That cost me 205 euros. What symptoms does your car show exactly before it won't start? This info might help to help you better. Hope this helps you!
