Problem with the headlight cleaning system in a Peugeot 107 Diesel (2014): Troubleshooting and workshop experience
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A Peugeot 107 Diesel from 2014 has a malfunctioning headlight cleaning system, suspected to be linked to a signal error in the rear window wiper pump. A similar issue in a Peugeot 108 Diesel was resolved by replacing a defective cable connection or relay, costing around 165 euros. The suggested solution is to visit a garage for a professional check, focusing on the pump or relay, to ensure safety and prevent further issues.

Hey, thanks for the tip! The problem is still there though. I think I'll have to visit my garage to sort it out. My mileage is now 66879 km, the last service was recently, so everything should be fine. I guess they will also check the pump or the relay. Hopefully it won't be too expensive, of course it's difficult to predict. I'll keep you posted. Your support is great, thank you!

Hey, no problem, that's the whole point here, isn't it? We're all helping out together! Yes, that sounds like a plan to visit the garage. So with my mileage the problem was already there, I was already at 82446 km, and also had a service shortly before. So that can happen! Exactly, they will probably check the pump or the relay. The price sounds a lot at first, but it's better to fix it before it gets worse, right? Try not to stress too much and think about safety. I hope everything goes well for you! Please keep me posted, I'm glad if I could help!

Hello, thank you again for the useful information. I also think that safety should always come first. It's reassuring to know that it's not just me and that there seems to be a solution. I'm a bit more optimistic now, but of course I know that it could be expensive. It always happens when you least need it, doesn't it? Well, I'll definitely let you know what happens next. Thank you very much for your support and your patience with my questions. Stay healthy!

Hello, I have had a similar problem with my Peugeot 108 Diesel, built in 2012. My level of knowledge is rather low, but I can say a bit about the issue. In my case, the cable connection of the pump or the relay was defective. I then replaced the part together with my workshop technician. It cost me about 165 euros. Everything is running smoothly again. Has the problem been solved or is it still there? Maybe you can give me a bit more information about your car so that I can better understand the situation. Just write to me, I'll be happy to help!
