Hey, thanks for the reply and the tip about the engine control unit, that's really expensive. My KM reading is currently at 116410 KM. So, my specific problem is that the cruise control just cuts out and then stops working. The garage said it could be the fuel level adjuster, but they weren't sure and wanted to do an expensive diagnostic first. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Hey, you have to be careful with garages, some just want to make money. The cruise control on my Citroen C3 was also broken once. In my case it was the brake light switch! As soon as you brake, the cruise control goes off and if the switch is faulty, the car thinks you've been braking the whole time. It wasn't expensive for me at the time, the switch costs maybe 20 euros online and the installation wasn't complicated either. Of course, it could also be the engine control unit or fuel quantity regulator, as I and your garage said. But I would check the brake light switch first, as this is a common weak point and the repair is cheap. Maybe you're lucky and it's just the switch. Let us know what it was in the end!

Many thanks for the great tip about the brake light switch. That makes total sense, as the cruise control goes off when I brake! I'll definitely get that checked out before I go for the more expensive diagnosis. The switch sounds like a great first step and it would be awesome if that's all it was! I will definitely let you guys know what ends up happening. Thanks again for the help!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2012 Citroen C3. I have little experience with cars, but I remember the workshop visit very well. They found that the engine control unit was faulty. This repair cost me 1000 euros, but was necessary to get everything running correctly again. However, I would need to know some details about your vehicle to be able to go into your problem in more detail. Can you please give me more information about the stored faults and the exact symptoms? Perhaps I can then help you in more detail.
