Problem with constantly low tire pressure on the 2017 Ford B Max - troubleshooting and solutions

Tire pressure to low

Hey guys, I have a strange problem with my Ford B Max, gasoline engine, year of manufacture 2017. The tire pressure is constantly too low, I suspect a fault with the tire pressure monitoring system. Have any of you ever had the same problem and can give me some troubleshooting tips? I would be particularly interested to know how your garage solved the problem. Many thanks for your experience!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Ford C Max. I would describe my knowledge of cars as mediocre. I then took my problem to my regular garage. There they found that the antenna tire pressure monitoring system was defective. They had to replace it and it cost me a whopping 255 euros. What I would recommend is that you go to the nearest Ford dealer and tell them about your problem. I'm sure they've had experience with such cases and will be able to help you. Is your B Max a specific model or are there any specifications that might be important? It might help me to give you a more detailed answer.

Hey, thanks for the answer! So it's a standard model without any special extras and the mileage is 67266 km. The last time I was in the garage was recently, but there didn't seem to be anything unusual. Maybe I should go to the Ford dealer after all... 255 euros is a lot of money, but I'd rather pay that than keep driving around with too little pressure. Thank you for now!

Hey, no problem! Yes, I also think that your visit to the Ford dealer would probably be the best thing to do. It could also be that your tire pressure monitoring system only needs to be recalibrated and is not completely defective. That would be a bit cheaper. The mileage is also similar to when I had my problem. It's really annoying to constantly check the pressure, I understand that. But it's still better than a flat tire! Good luck with it and I hope the problem solves itself quickly for you! Best regards and let us know how it turns out!

Hey, that's very helpful, it gives me an idea of what I should be aware of. The recalibration thing sounds interesting too, hopefully that's the case for me. Yes, it's true, the constant checking is really annoying, but you're right, anything is better than a breakdown. I will go to the Ford dealer soon and see what they say. Thank you very much for the help and tips, I will definitely keep you guys posted! All the best and thanks again!
