Problem with air conditioning in Citroen C6 petrol 2010: only warm air blows

Air conditioning blows warm air

Hey guys, I have a problem with my Citroen C6 petrol engine, built in 2010. The air conditioning only blows out warm air. I already suspected that the air conditioning compressor switching off could be to blame. Have any of you ever experienced something similar? What exactly did your garage do to rectify the fault? It would be cool if you could share your experiences with me. Many thanks in advance!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2008 Citroen C4 petrol car. I only have a little experience with cars. I took the car to my garage and we found out that there was sporadic faulty communication between the control units. The repair then cost 955 euros. It was expensive, but since then the air conditioning has been working perfectly again. Could you perhaps provide a few more details about your car? For example, how many kilometers has it done? This information could help me to help you even better. I hope this helps you a little!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! My C6 now has 172598 km on the clock and the last service was about 6 months ago. The error pattern of your C4 sounds really similar to my problem. Do you perhaps still have the exact error code that was read out for you? And was 955 euros just for the air conditioning repair or was there more? Of course, there are always differences from case to case, but I'm just trying to estimate what I'll have to pay.

Hey, you've got a pretty decent mileage on your C6! When troubleshooting my C4, the error code "U1108" was read out. There were probably communication problems between the engine control unit and the air conditioning control unit. The fault was found and rectified using special diagnostic software. The 955 euros were really only for the air conditioning repair, which was pretty salty, I have to say. But it was worth it, because since then my air conditioning has been running like clockwork again. Your problem could be similar, but only a garage can say for sure. Try to go there as soon as possible before it gets any worse. Good luck with that!

Hey, thanks for all the info! You're right, I should go to the garage sooner rather than later. U1108 definitely sounds like a possibility. Your help has really helped me to get an idea of what to expect. 955 euros is not a lot, but it seems to be the lesser evil compared to a completely broken air conditioning system in summer. Thanks again and best wishes!
