Thanks for the input! My car has been running pretty smoothly until now (last service was just 2 months ago at 30726 KM), but I'm not seeing any other electrical issues at all. The battery seems fine lights are bright, starter's strong, and everything else works perfectly. Just these stubborn windows acting up out of nowhere! Was really hoping it wouldn't be the regulator, but guess I might need to bite the bullet and get it checked. Anyone else dealt with just the windows going crazy like this?
Hey again! Thanks for those extra details about your car. Yeah, sounds quite different from what I experienced with my FX then. Since you're saying everything else is running fine electrically, I'm starting to lean away from my initial battery theory. With my FX, when I had window issues in the past (different from the battery situation I mentioned before), it actually turned out to be a faulty window switch in the driver's door. But that was just affecting one window, not all of them like you're experiencing. Did this problem start suddenly, or was it more gradual? Since all your windows are affected at once, and you've got that fault code showing up, I'm actually thinking my first instinct about the window regulator learning might've been off the mark. Could be something with the Body Control Module (BCM) had a with an Infiniti who dealt with something similar. Maybe we could narrow it down a bit more are the windows completely dead, or do they move but just not properly? In my experience with these Infinitis, they usually give some kind of warning sign before completely failing. Let me know these details I'm really curious to help figure this out since I've had my fair share of electrical quirks with these cars!
Hey thanks for all the detailed help! Actually, the windows just suddenly stopped working properly yesterday no warning signs at all. They're not completely dead, but they're super inconsistent. Sometimes they work fine, then they'll just stop halfway, or won't respond at all. It's really frustrating because they were working perfectly fine until now! I called my regular mechanic after reading your reply, and he mentioned something similar about the BCM. He's got an opening next Tuesday to take a look at it. I'll definitely update everyone once I find out what's actually causing the problem. Really appreciate all the input it's good to know I'm not the only one who's dealt with Infiniti quirks! Fingers crossed it's something simple and not too expensive to fix.
Hey there! I have some experience working with cars, and I actually dealt with a similar issue with my 2005 Infiniti FX. When the power windows acted up along with some electrical glitches, it turned out my battery was on its last legs. Got it replaced at my local workshop for about 290 Euro, and that sorted out all the electrical gremlins, including the windows. Before jumping to conclusions though could you share if you're experiencing any other electrical issues? Like dim lights, slow starter, or other electrical components acting weird? This info would help pinpoint if it's related to the battery like mine was or if it's specifically a window regulator problem. I'd suggest having your battery tested first before diving into window regulator repairs. Let me know these details and I'll try to help further!
