Power window problems with the 2020 Toyota Avalon: sharing experiences and suggested solutions

Fault stored

Power windows malfunction

Hey guys, I need your help. I drive a 2020 Toyota Avalon with a gasoline engine and have already driven around 268421 KM. I have recently noticed problems with the electric windows and there is also something in the fault memory. Unfortunately, learning the window regulator has not been so successful so far. I also had a bit of stress with my mechanic last time. Have you ever had problems like this and what was your experience with your mechanic with similar issues? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I also had similar problems with my 2017 Toyota Camry. In my case, it was the replacement of the vehicle battery that caused similar problems. After I took the car to the garage, the mechanic realized that the battery needed to be replaced. It wasn't a pleasant experience, of course, but it wasn't as serious as I first thought. A proper battery replacement fixed the electrical problems, including the power windows. Hope this helps you. Good luck solving the problem!

Hi, thanks for your reply! Interesting that it was the battery in your case, I hadn't even thought about that. Can you remember how much the repair cost at the time? And have you had any other problems with the power windows since then or was that it? Thanks for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! So the repair, i.e. the replacement of the vehicle battery, cost me €290. Not exactly cheap, but everything has been fine since then. On the subject of the window regulator, since I went to see the mechanic, the problems with the window regulator learning have disappeared. Really strange, but since then everything has been running smoothly again. I hope you can solve your problem quickly. All the best!

Great, thanks for the input! 290 doesn't sound that great, but it obviously helped you, so I'll discuss it next time I visit the mechanic. It's interesting to hear the different experiences. It definitely gives me something to think about. Thanks again for your help and wish you all the best too!
