Good morning everyone, I own a 2018 BMW X2 M Sport 18d diesel. Recently, the check engine light came on accompanied by a loss of power, allowing me to proceed only at moderate speed. Additionally, I noticed an unsettling noise coming from the turbocharger. This problem occurred while driving uphill with the air conditioning on. Turning off the engine and the air conditioning, the problem disappeared after about a minute. Two months ago, the turbo pressure sensor was replaced because it was faulty. Has anyone had similar experiences or knows what could be causing this problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

I recommend starting by checking the turbocharger hoses and connections for any leaks or loose fittings, as these can cause a loss of power and unusual noises. If everything seems intact, it might be worth inspecting the turbocharger itself for any signs of damage or wear. Given the safety implications of a malfunctioning turbocharger, it would be wise to have a professional mechanic take a look if the issue persists. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
