Hey there! That sounds spot on to me, just like what I'm facing right now. Having the dash ripped apart does sound like grim news to me, but on the positive side, I'm thrilled to hear that it made all those hitches evaporate for you. Out of curiosity, do you recall around what the damage on your wallet was after this whole ordeal? And since it's been patched up, any other snags creep up related to this? Thanks for the insight, really appreciate it!

Hey! Yeah, not gonna lie. It did cause a bit of a dent in the pocket. Putting the dash back together ran about 155 Euro, all in. But since then, it's been smooth sailing, knock on wood. Had the windshield wiper relay sorted too during my mechanic’s visit, and haven't had a squeak from it since. In my opinion, that cash was well spent. Rather spend the money to get it right than having major issues down the line, right? It's more about the peace of mind knowing you've got a solid ride beneath ya. Hope that helps, bud!

Cheers! That's really helpful. I was preparing myself for a pretty penny, so 155 Euro sounds reasonable, all things considered. I agree with you, investing to restore that peace of mind is totally worth it. Well, I'm setting an appointment with my mechanic and let's see how it goes. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. Thanks again, your suggestions have been ace!

Hey, went through a pretty similar situation with my 2014 Nissan Leaf not too long ago. Had the whole warning light dancing on the dash and whatnot. Honestly thought it was just a wiring glitch or a blown fuse but after having a chat with my trusty mechanic, found out it was indeed the cable connection at fault. Apparently, over time and with use, these cables can become defective. It seems like a small thing, but it caused a fair bit of headache getting those wipers to behave. My mechanic did have to spend a decent amount of time getting it sorted though – had to dismantle a good portion of the dash just to get to those cables. No quick job, that's for sure. But once he replaced the defective cable, it was like night and day. Wipers started to work properly, the warning light on the dash disappeared and no more “fault stored” messages taking up space. So based on my somewhat similar experience, wouldn't hurt to have your mechanic take a good look at the cable connections. Could just be what's causing you all this drama.
