Peugeot Boxer Diesel: Warning lights and AdBlue system pressure problems

DPF regeneration failure

Check engine light on

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey guys, I've got an annoying problem with my Peugeot Boxer Diesel (2018, 153,061 KM) and I could really use your help. The car shows check engine, DPF regeneration has also failed and a warning light is flashing in the speedometer. I already had an unpleasant experience at the last workshop visit and I suspect that it has something to do with the AdBlue system pressure. It always shows "system pressure too low". Does anyone have similar experience or do I have to be prepared for more horror stories during the inspection? Thank you very much for your opinions!

Hey, I had the same problem with my 2019 Peugeot Boxer diesel camper van. The AdBlue tank was defective and I had to have it replaced in the workshop. It was indeed a serious problem that could not be ignored. Not a simple DPF regeneration fault or anything like that. It had nothing to do with the system pressure. In fact, it was just a faulty sensor in my AdBlue tank that was blocking the system. The repair took a bit of time, but in the end I got my car back without any problems. Don't worry, it's not as bad as it seems. All the best!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. Do you still remember how much you paid for the repair? Did anything else pop up afterwards or did everything go smoothly?

Hey, of course I still remember the bill, it wasn't a penny. I had to fork out €1620 to repair the AdBlue tank. But since the workshop visit, everything has been running smoothly again and the problem with the "system pressure too low" has also been resolved. Nothing else has come up so far. Keep your fingers crossed that it goes as smoothly for you too!

Hey, your information reassures me a little. 1620 euros is a lot of money, but the main thing is that the car runs again. Thanks to your story, I now know a bit better what I need to be prepared for. Thanks for the helpful advice and for keeping your fingers crossed!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a faulty temperature sensor or a problem with the cooling system. Start by checking the coolant level in your car. If it's low, fill it up and monitor if the problem persists. If the coolant level is fine, it might be a good idea to have the temperature sensor checked by a professional. Please remember that overheating can cause serious damage to your engine, so it's important to address this issue promptly. Let us know how it goes and if you have any further questions.
