Thanks for your quick reply! That does sound very similar to what I'm going through right now. Can you remember how much it cost you to repair the ECU? Oh, and have you had any other issues with your Peugeot since then, or has it been running problem free since? Looking forward to your reply!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for. Yes, I remember it well, the repair cost me €1000 at the time. It wasn't cheap, but it was the control unit itself that was faulty - in my experience, that's the most common cause of faults. And you know what the best thing is? Since the control unit was replaced, there have been no more problems. The fault in the glow control unit has been rectified and it now runs much better. Sure, it was an expensive repair, but it was definitely worth it. All the best to you, hopefully you'll get your bike running again soon!

Your answer reassures me a little. 1000 € is a lot of money, but if it solves the problem for good, it would be worth it. I just hope that there are no other hidden problems. Your positive experience definitely gives me hope! I will now make an appointment at the garage and hope they can solve the problem like you did. Thanks again for your time and advice. Have a good trip with your Peugeot at all times!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2011 Peugeot 508 Diesel. I also had black smoke when accelerating and problems when starting. In my case, the control unit was actually defective. It was a serious problem because the car just wouldn't run properly. That was exactly the case during my last visit to the garage. The control unit was replaced then and things have been running smoothly ever since. But don't worry, with a solid garage on your side the problem should be solved. Best regards!
