Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I hadn't thought about the control unit. It sounds like the repair was pretty complicated. Can you remember roughly what you had to pay for it at the time? And did you have any further problems after that or was it all quiet then? I'm really interested because I'm currently trying to get an idea of what I might have to deal with. Thanks again for your help!

Hey, of course I can still remember that. Repairing the control unit used to cost a lot of money. I had to fork out about €1000. But it seemed to be worth the money, because since the mechanic's visit, the fault in the engine start-stop system had been rectified. I didn't have any more problems after that, it was really quiet for a while. So don't worry, if it's the same for you, you'll certainly be fine for a while afterwards. You're welcome and good luck!

Hey, phew, €1000 is a lot of money... But if it fixes the car and gives me a few years of peace of mind, then it's probably worth the investment. But your experience reassures me a little. I'll take my Peugeot to the nearest garage and hope for the best. Thank you very much for your information and tips. It has helped me a lot!

Hey, your problem reminds me of my experience with my Peugeot 308 from 2019. I also had a similar problem back then when a start-stop system malfunctioned. Imagine the car won't start and takes a lot of fuel. I then took it to the garage and it turned out that the control unit was faulty. That caused a lot of chaos because the control unit coordinates all the electronic communication in the vehicle. So, yes, it was a serious problem. The mechanic explained to me that the faulty ECU was misinterpreting the signals, causing the lights to flicker and the warning light to come on. The repair mainly consisted of replacing the faulty control unit. It was a lot of work, but afterwards my Peugeot ran like clockwork again. Hope that helps you a bit. Don't worry, you'll definitely get it fixed at a good garage.
