Peugeot 207 Mirror Defrosting Issue: Seeking Advice and Experience
Mirror doesn't defrost

Hey there, Ah, sounds like you and your 208 had quite a trip, huh? It's good to know it's not a one-off issue with Peugeot. Having similar issues with my 207 is definitely a bummer. So, fixing it was just a matter of replacing that damaged plug, then? That gives me some hope! But hey, do you recall how much it set you back in the garage? And has everything been peachy since then, or did any other issues crop up? I'm hoping it's not a frequent thing on Peugeots, fingers crossed. Cheers!
Hey! Yeah the journey with the 208 has definitely been a mixed bag, ha! But about the fix, yeah, it was as 'simple' as dealing with that busted plug. I say simple, but I wouldn't have figured it out without the mechanic, to be honest. As for the moolah part of it, it was 155 Euro all in. Not exactly spare change, but it's been smooth sailing for the exterior mirror and the heater since then, touch wood. Fingers crossed, your Peugeot 207's issue will be just as fixable and this will be the last mirror-related bump in the road for you. All the best, man!
Hey! The 208 journey sounds like a mad adventure, haha! Seriously, your explanation makes me feel relieved. I guess mechanics do make our lives easier, don't they? And 155 Euro, hmm, it's not peanuts, but if it gets my mirror defrosting again, it'll be worth it. Great to hear that yours didn't give any more trouble. Wishing for the same luck! So, fingers crossed, and off to the garage I go with my Peugeot 207. Hoping for a clear and defrosted road ahead! Cheers!
Hey! Sounds like a similar issue I had with my 2013 Peugeot 208 a while back. Couldn't get my side mirrors to defrost properly. Turns out it was a defective cable connection powering the mirror heaters. In my case, the work wasn't that serious, thankfully. Think we're talking about the same stuff. Took it into the garage and the mechanic replaced the damaged plug, cleaned things up and voila, mirror heaters were back in action. It's not a rare issue, so mechanics usually can handle it without much fuss. Good luck with that, hope yours is as straightforward as mine was! Cheers.
