Hey there, Reading through this and I'm thinking, this has happened to me in my own '18 Tarraco, reckon it's probably the same issue. I was also fretting about being ripped off, but found a decent garage through a friend's recommendation. By the by, do you remember coughing up how much to resolve the brake problem? Also, has the issue come back to mess with your peace of mind or has it been all smooth sailing since getting it sorted? Cheers!
Hey, It's good to hear you've had a similar experience with your '18 Tarraco, sometimes talking these things through can be a relief! For sure, the brake issue was a bit of a blow. The mechanic charged me 480€, all in all, to fix everything. Steep but believe me, once he was done, the wear on brakes warning vanished! Since the fix, it's been nothing but smooth cruising and the brake fluid level hasn’t been troublesome either. The light's all quiet now - and it certainly does wonders for my peace of mind! Good luck with your maintenance work and remember, to keep it safe on the road, a reliable brakes system is essential. Take care!
Hey! Such a relief to know I'm not floating alone in this boat, folks! Always a treat to connect with my 'Seat' compatriots who've been through the same problem. You giving the similar issue and the corresponding expenditure gives me a ballpark figure to work with, so cheers for that! Quite comforting to hear your Tarraco's been behaving since the resolution and nothing has cropped up so far - fingers crossed! Gives me hope mine's going to follow suit post repair. Off to find me a decent mechanic now, no backing out - can't risk a brake failure! Thanks a lot, guys, for your insights and care. I'll keep you updated on how it turns out. Until then, safe driving! End of transmission, over and out!
Hey, Seen something like this on my 2016 Seat Leon, quite similar. Yeah, it was the brake fault. The warning light was due to worn-out brake pads and slightly scored rotors. I'd recommend getting it checked ASAP. Don't worry about scams, just find a reputable shop. Make sure they show what they're gonna do before any work happens, that way you know exactly what's going on. Keep in mind, it's super important you don't ignore it cause you don't want a brake failure while driving, that's not a joke. Safe driving!
