Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm seeing multiple alerts, Sport Mode unavailable, Parking Assist failure, and some HVAC warnings. Haven't had any battery issues until now, but I'll definitely get that checked. My car's only at 20192 KM and just had its last service a few months ago, so this came as a surprise. Would the reprogramming fix void any warranty? I'll probably take it to the dealer just to be safe, but that price point you mentioned sounds way better than what I was expecting!
Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, those warning lights you mentioned sound very similar to what I experienced with my Cayenne. Since you asked about the warranty, no worries there! The reprogramming procedure I had done was actually a standard Porsche diagnostic routine and didn't affect my warranty at all. I totally get wanting to go to the dealer though, especially with such low mileage. Just as a heads up, dealer prices might be quite a bit higher than what I paid at my local Porsche specialist. When I had a similar issue with my previous Panamera (2016), the dealer charged around 180€ for basically the same procedure. But honestly, with those specific warnings you're getting, it really does sound like the transport mode issue. The combo of Sport Mode, Parking Assist, and HVAC warnings is pretty much identical to what I saw. One quick tip, before you take it in, you might want to note down exactly when these warnings started appearing. The techs found that info pretty helpful when diagnosing my car. Keep us posted on what the dealer says! Always good to know how these things turn out.
Thanks so much for all the detailed info! You've definitely put my mind at ease. I've made an appointment with my dealer for tomorrow morning, figured I'd stick with them since the car's still pretty new. I took your advice and made notes about when everything started acting up (right after I washed the car, interestingly enough). The price difference is quite significant compared to what you paid, but I guess that's the dealer premium for you! At least now I know what to expect and that it's a fairly common issue. I'll update the thread once it's sorted out, might help someone else down the line. Really appreciate all your help with this!
Hi there! I have some experience working on Porsches and had a similar issue with my 2015 Cayenne last winter. The battery had drained completely, and after jump-starting it, I got multiple warning lights and system errors. My local workshop diagnosed it was in transport mode after the voltage drop. They fixed it by reprogramming the control modules and clearing the fault codes, took about an hour and cost me 45€. Pretty straightforward fix, actually. What specific warning lights are you seeing? Also, have you checked the battery voltage or had any recent battery issues? This info would help confirm if we're dealing with the same problem.
