Hey, thanks for the information. Did the whole thing cost a big chunk, or can you still remember the costs? And were there any problems afterwards or has everything been fine since then? I really don't want to have any extra costs when everything is already going haywire. Thanks again!

Hey, no problem, you're welcome! If I remember correctly, the whole thing was actually quite cheap. Replacing the cable on the pump and adjusting the control unit together cost €95. Since the visit to the mechanic, my Picasso has been running like a sewing machine again and there have been no further problems. So since the malfunction of the electric coolant pump was rectified, everything has been fine. I understand your stress, nobody wants unnecessary costs. But cheer up, you'll get it sorted! Good luck, buddy!

Thank you, my friend! Your reply really helped me. It's reassuring to hear that the repair wasn't that expensive and that your car has been running well ever since. I now remember myself that it's down to the cable and the control unit. A visit to the mechanic is probably unavoidable. I hope it goes as smoothly as it did for you. Lesson learned. I'll get to work on it. Wish you a good journey!

Hi, I actually had a similar problem with my Citroen C4 Picasso (built in 2014, diesel, around 50000 km driven). After there were repeated temperature fluctuations and lights, the mechanic found out that it was actually the cable on the pump/control unit that was defective. It was no small matter, so you need Superman powers. A new cable and an adjustment of the control unit had to be made. As annoying as it is, it happens, you just have to get on with it. And yes, there could of course be other reasons, but it's possible that you have the same problem. I hope this helps you and the problem is solved quickly. Good luck!
