Hey, yeah, it definitely made my wallet feel a bit lighter, let's put it that way! It cost me around 270€ to get that radiator shutter wiring harness sorted - and that's no joke, is it? The fee included removing the bumper to access the place where the harness was hiding, then replacing the faulty part. But you know, no regrets, as it was causing a major problem in the whole cooling air flap system. About your second question, no new issues developed, thankfully. My Renault's been running smooth like butter since the mechanic worked his magic on it. In fact, he fixed the malfunction in that cooling air flap system and we haven't seen the overheating issue again. So fingers crossed, it’s worth it. Hope you get your engine cooling down and running swell soon. Cheers!
Hey there, Thanks for the detailed response and for sharing your experience. Sounds like a trip to the mechanic is unavoidable. Fingers crossed that the problem is identical to yours, and it gets sorted just as smoothly. And yeah, it definitely sounds like it’s worth it. Keeping my car on the road is my biggest priority, no matter if it burns my pocket a wee bit. Appreciate you taking out the time to share your insight, gives me a clearer direction and some peace of mind. Cheers and safe driving!
Hey, I drive a 2020 Renault Koleos and had a similar issue last year. The culprit was the radiator shutter wiring harness, it was defective and worn out, tucked in just behind the bumper. The bugger caused my cooling system to act all wonky, similar to what you're experiencing with your Arkana. In my case, the mechanic had to remove the bumper, get to the harness, and replace the defective part. It's not a quick job and unluckily, one that can't be skipped. It's a serious issue as the faulty shutter wiring can mess up the whole cooling airflow mechanism, leading to overheating. I suggest you get it checked ASAP. Last thing you'd want is overheating causing more damage. Hope this helps. Cheers!
