Hey, thanks for the timely response and helpful insights! Your story with the Tucson reminded me that cars really do stash their problems in the weirdest corners, eh? Since you've been through a similar incident, do you remember how much did the garage guy charge you to sort it out? Also, have you had any recurring issues or hidden 'treasures' since then? Just trying to prep myself for what's ahead as much as possible. Appreciate it, cheers!
Hey there! Yeah, cars sure do have a funny way of tucking their problems into all sorts of nooks and crannies, don't they? To untangle the mess with my Tucson though, it ran me about 215.00 €. That was for picking apart and sorting the Radiator shutter wiring harness that was playing hide and seek behind the bumper. Ever since I forked over for that fix, I've kept a much closer eye on my ride. And more importantly, the air damper issue doesn't bother us anymore. So it looks like that mechanical adventure paid off in the end! Haven't unearthed any other 'hidden treasures', luckily. Let's hope your good old Trajet won't throw any serious curveballs your way! Good luck and cheers!
Hey, that's good to know, really appreciate the advice! Budgeting for about 215.00 € knew I might have to dig into my pockets a bit, but at least the air damper problem could be taken care of. Thank heavens you haven't stumbled onto any other hidden 'treasures', fingers crossed I'll be just as lucky. Thanks a million for your help, and happy motoring! Cheers!
Hey there, sure sounds like you're having a time with your Trajet! Interesting you mentioned the air damper, it reminded me of my '04 Hyundai Tucson's experience. Beginning of last summer, I was consistently getting the check engine light with some overheating. Similar situation here. It turned out that my issue was connected to the radiator shutter wiring harness. The garage told me it was worn and behind the bumper, just like a hidden treasure or something! It was a bit of an annoyance, not going to lie, mainly because it wasn't a problem I could see or deal with myself. As far as how serious it was, for a while it didn't seem too bad, but over time, the overheating if not checked could lead to more serious repairs. As for who to trust with your vehicle, look for someone who is more about the work than the money. I personally always prefer the heart of a passionate mechanic over the mind of a greedy businessman. I definitely steer clear of the ones who salivate at the sight of an unfamiliar problem! Hope this helps, good luck with your Trajet!
