Hey there! I caught wind of a similar bug in my Seat Tarraco a while back. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Ateca! It gave me some assurance knowing that big parts didn't need to be swapped out. Just out of curiosity, do you recall how much the fix set you back? And have there been any other problems with the temperature sensor since it was put right? I'm trying to get a handle on what I might be in for. Cheers for the help!
Hey! Glad to hear my previous story was somewhat reassuring. With respect to the costs,... well, it was a straightforward fix really. Surprisingly, the damage was pretty minimal to my wallet - just 95 quid for the whole operation. And that was due to the Cable connection/plug being defective. About the temperature sensor, you'll be pleased to hear no more hitches since the mechanic set it straight! The initial Coolant temperature sensor fault was fully resolved and hasn't given me jip since. Hopefully your Tarraco will cooperate in the same way. Best of luck!
Thanks for the prompt response! You've given me a breath of relief here! For a quick fix, 95 quid doesn't seem too steep, especially if it's gonna solve the problems once and for all. Well, fingers crossed that my journey to the mechanic goes as smoothly as yours did. I'll keep you posted on how it pans out! I appreciate the insight you've shared. Cheers!
Hey! I've got a 2020 Seat Ateca. Had a similar gremlin myself not too long ago. Turns out it was a faulty cable connection/plug on the Temperature Sensor. Not a huge issue but it did give the engine a hard time till it was fixed. The mechanic had it sorted fairly quickly with the right tools. The job was just cleaning the plug contacts and reassembling, no big parts needed replacement. Just keep an eye, once sorted these things shouldn't recur too often. Good luck with your Tarraco, cheers!
