Hey, thanks for the advice! So you reckon it's the same issue, huh? Bit of a pain but at least it's not just me who's had it. Do you remember off the top of your head how much it set you back for the new valve and cable? Also, just out of curiosity, has anything else related to this issue cropped up since you got it fixed or has it been smooth sailing since then? Cheers!
Hey again! Yeah, sadly this does sound mighty similar to my issue. About the cost, I remember shelling out around 155€ for that dang Coolant bypass valve cable, but it's worth every penny considering it nipped the problem right in the bud. Since sorting that valve out, I’ve just been breezing along without any major problems, knock on wood. That complicated piece of tech is essential to keep the engine chill, so once they got it replaced, all those annoying warning lights just went *poof*! Been pretty much smooth sailing since then, the beast's been running nice and cool even on those crazy summer days. So don't suffer in silence. Get it down to a decent repair shop and you should be just fine. Good luck with it!
Hey, thanks heaps for sharing your experience! It does ease my worry knowing someone else has been down this road and made it out okay. The 155€ does dent my pocket a bit, not gonna lie. But yeah, just like you said, got to keep the beast cool, especially in these upcoming sizzling summer days. Guess, I'll just bite the bullet and make an appointment with a well-rated mechanic next week. Fingers crossed I'll soon be sailing smooth too, just like you. Cheers again for your help!
Hey there! Definitely sounds like a cooling system issue. I drove a 2018 Renault Kadjar and faced a similar problem around the same mileage. My car was running hot and the check engine light came on, just like yours. When I took it to the garage, they pinpointed it to the Engine coolant bypass valve as well. Turns out, the cable connection to the valve was defective. To fix it, they replaced the bypass valve and got a new cable fitted. It's not a minor issue, as it keeps the engine at the right temperature, so it's definitely worth sorting out soon. In terms of experience, don't stress yourself. Just because your last visit to a mechanic didn't go well, doesn't mean you'll have the same experience next time. Work with a reputable garage and communicate your concerns. They should be able to help you out. Hope this helps!
