Hello again, yes, it really wasn't a walk in the park... But luckily it's all behind us now. The repair of the wiring harness to the sensor, which was defective and corroded, cost me €155. Not exactly a bargain, but since then the car has been running like clockwork again. And as far as the radiator shutter is concerned, it's been fully functional again since the workshop visit, so you don't need to worry about that! There have been no further problems since the repair. Hopefully everything will work out just as well for you! Good luck with it and keep us up to date!

That really calms me down a bit, thank you! The €155 does hurt, but if everything works again afterwards, then that's fine. I'll definitely have it checked out at the garage and hope that it's nothing more serious. As soon as I know what's going on, I'll keep you up to date. Thanks again for your valuable information and support!

Hi, I had a similar case with my 2016 Toyota Hilux. It had similar symptoms. It turned out that the wiring harness to the sensor was defective and corroded. This triggered all sorts of error messages, including overheating and low coolant level, even though the blind was fine. It was quite a scare, so I can understand your worries. The repair took quite a long time as the wiring harness is complex and runs in many places in the car. It wasn't easy to locate the fault either. But once they had identified the faulty wiring harness and replaced it, the car ran like new again. So it could be that you have a similar problem. I would recommend that you have it checked out at the garage. And don't worry, it's quite a nuisance, but once it's fixed it shouldn't happen again. Good luck with that!
