Hi, thanks for the quick reply. It's good to know that it's not rocket science and also that you've already been through a similar situation. Could you please tell me how much you had to pay for it? And has everything gone smoothly since the repair or were there any other problems that came up afterwards? Thank you!

Hey, sure, no problem. So, it cost me €350 to repair the faulty electric auxiliary heater. I thought it was a fair price and everything has been fine ever since. The PTC heater has been working perfectly since I took it to the mechanic. So frankly, since then I haven't noticed anything else that would indicate that something else might be wrong. It drives like a dream now! You're welcome!

Great, thanks for the info! I suppose I'll get rid of around €350, but if everything works again afterwards, that's fine. It's good to hear that your car ran like a dream again afterwards. I hope I can say the same about mine when it comes back from the mechanic. You've helped me a lot! Thanks again!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Citroën C4 Diesel. The first symptom was the low coolant level and then the warning light also flashed. The PTC heater, or as it is called here, the "electric auxiliary heater", was actually defective. The repair was not rocket science. The workshop simply replaced the defective auxiliary heater. However, I would like to warn you that the repair may take some time, especially if the spare part is not immediately available. I would recommend that you have the problem fixed as soon as possible, as overheating the engine can cause serious damage. So all-clear, it wasn't a drama, but not a problem to put off. Hope this helps you!
