Gosh, that sounds like a real mess! Now I'm even more unsettled... Have you had any other problems with your Clio since then? And if you still remember, how much did the repair cost? I should probably start saving up... Thanks for your advice, I'll definitely have my wiring harness checked.

Hey! Since the visit to the mechanic, the problem with the "malfunction of the coolant thermostat" has been solved, everything was okay afterwards. So no worries, it was really a one-time thing so far. As for the cost of repairing the "damage to the wiring harness", it cost me €110. Sure, that's not a lot of money, but well, at least my little one is running smoothly again. So, have a look and hope that there's nothing major wrong with you. Keep your fingers crossed!

Phew, that calms me down a bit, thanks! 110 is a bit expensive, but if it helps, it's worth it. I'll go to the garage as soon as possible and have it checked. Hopefully my Kangoo will be fit again soon. Thanks again for the information and your good wishes. I'll let you know how it goes. Have a nice day!

Hi, I had similar symptoms with my 2021 Renault Clio - overheating and the check engine light was burning like a Christmas tree. It turned out not to be the coolant thermostat, but damage to the wiring harness. They had to replace the entire wiring harness in the workshop, which was quite a big job. The work took a few days and my Clio was out of action for a while. So, it might not be your coolant thermostat. Hopefully it's nothing serious on your end, but taking a look at the wiring harness would be my advice. Good luck!
