Hi, I'm glad to hear that the tip was useful! As you asked, the repair cost me €370 at the time. There were problems with the cooling system in particular and it was leaking, so it was a bit more expensive. Fortunately, the mechanic did a great job and my car has been running like a champ ever since! No more problems with the auxiliary coolant pump malfunctioning since the visit. I hope your repair won't be too expensive and that everything runs smoothly again afterwards!

Hi, thanks for the info! 370€ doesn't sound so bad, especially when I consider that the problem is permanently solved. I'm glad to hear that your car is working perfectly after the repair. I'll head straight to the mechanic tomorrow morning and hope it goes just as well for me. Thanks again for your help!

Hi, I can understand what you're going through. Last time I was at the garage, I had similar issues with my 2019 VW Golf which was showing similar symptoms. The check engine light was on and the engine was also getting quite hot. The diagnosis was a faulty thermostat that was no longer opening properly and therefore preventing proper cooling. This can be quite a serious problem as overheating can cause damage to the engine. I think it would be a good idea to take it up with your mechanic. Maybe it's something similar in your case.
