Hey, thanks for your reply! I had the feeling that it had something to do with the coolant bypass valve. It's great that they solved the problem so well at your garage. Can you perhaps remember the approximate cost you had? And has anything else come up since then that you had to consider? Best regards!

Hey, sure, no problem! So, replacing the cable connection from the coolant bypass valve cost me €155. Since that was done, the car has been running really well. The problem with the bypass valve for the engine coolant has been completely solved, the indicator lights are all off and my engine looks like it's been rebuilt. Nothing else major has happened that you need to be aware of. Hopefully your car will be fit again soon! Best regards back!

Hey, that really reassures me, thank you very much! Your information is very helpful. Well then, I'll make an appointment tomorrow so that the bypass valve and the cable connections can be replaced. I also hope that everything will work properly again after this repair and that no more indicator lights will come on. Thanks again for the tip and your experience! See you then and take good care of yourself!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2017 Toyota RAV4 (gasoline engine). The coolant bypass valve was defective, cable connection was screwed up. So, this seems to be a serious thing as it causes the engine overheating. The light was also constantly on. At my garage, they replaced the valve and the cable connection. It worked perfectly, since then the indicator light has been off and there have been no more overheating problems. Hope this helps, but definitely get it checked by a professional. Good luck with that!
