Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm relieved that you had the same problem and that after replacing the coolant pump you were back on the road again. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair? And has anything else come up since then that might indicate another broken part? Regards.

Hey, sure, I remember that the coolant pump cost me €565. It wasn't exactly a penny, but since then the coolant pump has been working perfectly again. The pump itself was defective. Since then, nothing else has appeared in my car that could indicate further damage. So, get it checked at the garage, old man. It's definitely worth it. Best regards!

Hello folks
I have error code 002E84 BSD; Message; Electric coolant pump missing
I have just fitted a new thermostat and new water pump and replaced the coolant as I should have done but still after deleting the fault I get it again.
What can I do now
It sounds like the issue might be related to the BSD (Bit-Serial Data) interface, which is responsible for communication between different components in your car. If you've already replaced the thermostat, water pump, and coolant, the next step could be to check the wiring and connections to the coolant pump. Make sure there are no loose or damaged wires. If everything seems fine, you might need to check the alternator as it's also part of the BSD interface. If the problem persists, I would recommend having a professional mechanic look at it, as this could be a complex electrical issue. Please let us know how you get on with these checks.

How can I fix error 002E83
Error code 002E83 is often related to the electric water pump in BMWs. If you're seeing this error, the first step is to check the water pump and thermostat. If they're functioning properly, the issue might be with the wiring or connectors. Make sure there are no loose or damaged wires. If you've checked these and the problem persists, it's best to have a professional mechanic look at it, as this could be a complex electrical issue. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2011 BMW 3 series, it started to overheat and the check engine light was constantly on. On my last visit to the garage, they checked the entire cooling system and found that the coolant pump was faulty. It had to be replaced and since then my car has been running like clockwork. It was already a serious problem, because without a working coolant pump, the engine can be seriously damaged. So better check it out and talk to your garage about it. Good luck with your car!
