Hey! Appreciate your quick response and the anecdotes. Hearing that this issue was manageable is a bit of a relief, honestly. You've given me the nudge I needed to get that Arkana of mine to the workshop ASAP. Bit cheeky I know, but do you recall how much you had to shell out for that sensor swap ordeal? Just trying to get a sense of what I should expect. Also, has anything else cropped up following that repair, or has your Koleos been smooth sailing since? Thanks again for your help. Best.
Hey there, Hey, no problem at all, happy to help a fellow car owner out! So, if memory serves me right, the speed sensor fix cost me around 250€. Not exactly loose change, but then again, it's vital for the good health of the car, isn't it? Since that repair job, my Koleos has behaved like a dream, no issues on the sensor front or anywhere else for that matter. Fingers crossed it remains that way for your Arkana too, once you get it sorted. Do remember though, every car is different - just because that's been my experience, it doesn't mean it'll be exactly the same for you. It would be interesting to hear how you get on. Wishing all the best with your garage visit! Take care.
Hi again, Wow, 250€, eh? A bit pricey, but definitely seems worth it for a smoother drive and better peace of mind. Plus, your Koleos still running like a dream is pretty reassuring. You’re right, of course. Each vehicle has its own quirks and issues, but your experience makes me hopeful. Time to set up that appointment with the mechanic now! I'll drop you an update with how things pan out. Thanks a tonne for your help and for keeping it real. Until then, stay safe and happy motoring! Best.
Hey there, Totally understand your issue. I drive a 2019 Renault Koleos and had something akin to this last year. My ride started taking a tantrum with odd temperature spikes and the air-con plain refusing to work. Felt just as you described it, suspecting it was something to do with the speed sensor. Good call! Took mine to the garage and, sure enough, the mechanic found a defective speed sensor. Not the most joyous day of my life. However, it wasn't as bad as it sounds. Yes, the problem was real, but thankfully not a disastrous one - quite common in vehicles after they've put some Kilometers on the clock. The mechanic replaced the sensor, checked if the new one was sending proper readings to the ECU and voila, it was back to running smoothly. My advice would be to take your Arkana to a trusted mechanic soon. Don't let it linger for too long, as it can impact other components. A quick sensor swap should hopefully get things back in order! Keep us updated, alright? Cheers.
