Outlander Overheating: Temp Sensor Issues?

Hey there! I've had some experience working on cars . Actually, I faced a similar issue with my 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross last year. The symptoms were exactly the same as what you're describing. Turned out it was a faulty cable connection to the coolant temp sensor. Got it fixed at my local workshop, they replaced the connection and did a thorough check of the cooling system. Cost me around 95€ and solved the problem completely. Before you head to the workshop though, what's your current coolant level like? And are you noticing any coolant leaks under the car? Started noticing the overheating issue just last week. I'll definitely check those cable connections you mentioned, sounds like it could be something similar.
