Hey, thanks for the tip! I hadn't thought about the exhaust. Do you remember what you had to pay for the repair? And have you had any other problems since the exhaust change? My Omega and I would love an answer!

Cool that you liked my tip! I had to pay €265 to have the exhaust repaired. But since then everything has been running smoothly again. And to answer your second question: No, since I've been to the mechanic, the problems with the lambda sensor have been fixed. So no more stress on my part. I hope that clears up your uncertainty a little. Say hello to your Omega and hopefully you'll soon be back in the fast lane!

Great, thanks for the insightful information! 265 € sounds feasible. I'm most pleased to hear that your car has been running smoothly ever since. So now I'm prepared for a visit to the mechanic. Carefree driving, that's what I want again. A big thank you again! Take good care of yourself and always have a safe journey! Greetings from me and my Omega.

Start by checking for any vacuum leaks in the intake system, as they can cause jerking and affect sensor readings. Inspect hoses and connections for any signs of wear or damage. If the issue persists, consider having a professional mechanic perform a smoke test to identify any hidden leaks. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions!

Hey, sounds like you have a similar case to what I had with my 2005 Opel Insignia. I also struggled with soot buildup and heavy fuel consumption. It jerked like crazy when accelerating. My diagnosis was also the lambda sensor, but it turned out that the exhaust on my sled was leaking. This can lead to the same symptoms because it messes up the exhaust values. So I had to have the exhaust changed. It wasn't a big deal, but it took a while. Have your mechanic check the exhaust before you spend money on a new lambda sensor. Hope that helps you a bit. Take care and hopefully your Omega will soon be back in top form!
