Hey, thanks for the tip! My Mokka already has 142840 km on it and has run without any problems so far. The last service was recently, but the garage didn't find anything unusual. It's quite annoying when problems like this suddenly occur. I'll probably go to the Opel dealer and have the control unit checked. Maybe it really is that. But 1000.0 euros is quite a lot of money. How long did the repair take you?

Hey, no problem, you're welcome! The repair on my Mokka took about a week - they replaced the control unit and checked everything. Expensive, yes, but afterwards everything ran as normal again. If your Opel comes out of the service and everything is fine, it would be money well spent. Just make sure you get a proper diagnosis and cost estimate before you place the order for the repair. I hope it won't be that expensive for you! Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the advice! A week is a long time, but if everything works again after that, it might be worth it. I will definitely ask for a detailed diagnosis and cost estimate. Hopefully it won't be that expensive. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Thanks again for your help!

Hello, I have a brake pressure sensor error C0131 on my Opel Astra H GTC 1.4 EXP. According to Carly it should be the brake light switch, that would be the easiest, but I think it's the sensor in the hydraulic unit. Apparently a common problem. Spare parts are already available. I bought Carly because I thought I could control the ABS block with it to bleed it after the replacement. Can anyone confirm this?

Sure, Carly should be able to activate the ABS pump for bleeding. However, it's important to follow the correct procedure to avoid introducing air into the system. If you're not confident doing this yourself, I'd recommend having a professional mechanic do it for you. It's a critical safety system, so it's important to get it right. Let us know how you get on. Do you have any other questions?

May I ask again why the brake light switch is displayed? Brakes and brake lights work perfectly, only ESP is displayed in the instrument cluster. The axle mounts have been welded and since then the error has occurred. As I said, everything works but ESP error. What should I do now? First the brake light switch and if there is no improvement, the hydraulic unit? I can control etc., so this should not be a problem. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you could start by checking the brake light switch. It's a simpler and less expensive component to replace. If replacing the switch doesn't resolve the issue, then you might need to look at the hydraulic unit. However, since you mentioned that the axle mounts have been welded, it's also possible that the ESP error is related to that. If the issue persists after checking these components, I'd recommend having a professional mechanic inspect the vehicle. Please keep us updated on your progress.

The brake light switch has been ordered and will be replaced. It's been to the garage a lot now and what can I say, everyone says something different and hardly anyone really wants to look for the fault like the car doctors do. That's why I do the work myself and only go to the garage when absolutely necessary. Yes, the axle mounts were welded and maybe he forgot to disconnect the battery or didn't ground it. No idea what exactly happened. When I picked it up, the fault was suddenly there and I was told to just delete it. Of course without success. After several readouts with Gutman, Tech2 etc. I was told that the ESP sensor was defective and that it was a major problem with the models. The hydraulic unit is already available, as it is the MK60, only the nozzle unit needs to be replaced. I have absolutely no trust in any workshop any more, as they only make money anyway. I try to do as much as I can myself, but I can't do everything and need a little help with some electronic things. Thanks schonmal🙏🏻

Hi, I had the same problem with my Opel Mokka (built in 2016, diesel), just a different model. I have some experience with cars, but I'm not a professional. In my case, the control unit was defective. Had to have it repaired in the workshop and cost me around 1000.0 euros. However, for more detailed help, could you provide more information about your car? How many kilometers has it driven? Were there any previous problems or modifications?
