Opel Crossland 2019: Power loss, high fuel consumption and starting difficulties - tips wanted!

Hi guys, recently my 2019 Opel Crossland (146,157 km, diesel engine) has been having a few problems: partial loss of power, the check engine light is on, at times it shuts itself off, and it jerks when accelerating. Sometimes it won't start and consumes a lot of fuel. It even shudders when idling. I didn't really have a good experience at the last mechanic visit and now I think the problem might be related to the quantity drift compensation, which needs to be reset. Have any of you had similar problems and can give me a tip on what I should do or which mechanic is good? Would really appreciate your advice!

Hey, I had similar symptoms with my 2016 Opel Astra. It turned out that the injectors were not tuned. The mechanic had to relearn them and reset the engine electronics. It really wasn't easy to solve because the engine electronics kept calling up the old values. But as soon as it was done, my car was back in top form. As serious as it sounds at first, it makes a huge difference and your car will feel like it's brand new. Try an authorized Opel dealer, they know their stuff. I can't promise you anything, but there's a good chance that this is your problem. Good luck!

Hey, your post is a real help to me! That sounds like the same problem I'm having with my Opel Crossland. If it's not too indiscreet, do you happen to remember how much the repair cost you? And have you had any other problems with your Astra since then? Maybe there's something else going on with me after all. Thank you in advance!

Sure, no problem. After a visit to the mechanic, the drift compensation was fixed and everything ran smoothly again. Fixing the unlearned injectors cost me around €45.0. Sometimes it costs a bit, but as long as it solves the problem, it should be worth the price. Since then I have had no further problems with my Astra. I hope the same applies to your Crossland! Good luck, buddy!

That's really relieving to hear! So I'll just go to an authorized Opel dealer and hope that the problem can be solved as easily as yours. That €45.0 would really be worth it to me to get my car running smoothly again. And thanks for your sympathy, your advice was really helpful! I'll get back to you as soon as I have news - my visit to the mechanic is scheduled for next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Thanks again, you've really eased my worries!
