Hey, thanks for your quick reply! Your experience sounds pretty similar to what's going on with my Ampera at the moment. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair back then? And have any other problems arisen since then that could be related to this? I have to say, it sounds pretty scary that this could cause further damage. I think I'll follow your advice and see my mechanic as soon as possible. I don't want the whole thing to get any worse. Thanks again for your feedback!

Hey, I'm glad I could help! So I paid a total of €95 for the repair and that was mainly for replacing the faulty cable from the sensor. It was a bit of a relief to be honest as I would have expected more. Since you asked about it, so far there have been no other abnormalities or problems that could be related to the whole cable thing. Since my last trip to the mechanic, the faulty air quality sensor signal has actually cleared up. My car is now running like clockwork again, without any hiccups. So yes, definitely get it checked as soon as possible. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get off as lightly as I did. Stay strong and good luck with your repair!

Hey, it couldn't have gone better! You've really opened my eyes. To be honest, €95 doesn't sound that bad. But well, hopefully I'll be as lucky as you and there won't be any more surprises. It's very reassuring to hear that you haven't had any further problems since the cable change. Hopefully it's just the cable in my case and then the air conditioning will be fit again. I'll see when I can get an appointment with my mechanic. Stay tuned, I'll report here how it turns out. Thanks again for your help and advice!

Hey, I had something similar with my 2018 Opel Insignia. The problem was actually the wire/cable from the sensor was faulty and completely messed up my A/C system. After an inspection visit to my garage, it was found that the cable from the sensor was worn and faulty. I had to have various parts replaced, especially the affected cable. You know, that was quite a key moment, because if the cable hadn't been changed, it could have led to further problems in other parts of the car. So it was definitely not a small thing. It's possible that it's the same for you. Perhaps you should visit your garage to have it checked. Preferably sooner rather than later to avoid more trouble. Nevertheless, cheer up!
