Hey, thanks for your quick reply! You're probably right, better to tackle the problem straight away before it gets worse. It's a really stupid thing with the sensor. Do you happen to remember the cost of the repair? And have you had any other problems since then or did it just happen once? Looking forward to your answer, buddy!

Hey, no problem, always welcome! In my case, it was actually the case that the whole thing remained a one-off. Since I had the fault rectified, nothing else has cropped up. Remember when I told you about the faulty cable to the oil level sensor? That was the main source of the problem for me and the repair ended up costing €165. Yes, it wasn't exactly cheap, but since then the fault with the oil level sensor signal has been rectified and, as far as I know, no further problems have occurred. So effectively it was worth it. Our good old metal shed problem hasn't shown up since then either, which is another positive sign. I hope that answers your questions. Good luck with your ProAce mate, all will be well!

Great, thanks for the detailed explanation, buddy! That's reassuring to know that you haven't had any further problems since. The cost still sounds a bit high, but if it helps solve the problem then it's definitely worth it. So I will go to the garage as soon as possible and get it checked out. Hopefully that will solve the issue for me. Thanks again for your help and experience. I really didn't think it could be a sensor like that. I hope your ProAce lasts a long time! All the best, take care!

Hey, yes, I can tell you a thing or two about that. I drive a 2016 Toyota ProAce and had similar problems. The last time I was at the garage, it turned out that the cable connection to the oil level sensor was faulty. I also had metal shavings in the oil, which is a pretty sure sign that something is wrong. The technicians had to take the whole thing apart and then replaced the sensor and, of course, the cable connection. It was a serious matter, the technicians said it was a good thing that I tackled it straight away before any more serious damage was done. So, yes, you may well have the same problem. I would recommend that you have it checked out at the garage. They sorted it out relatively quickly for me and I haven't had any more problems since. Hope that helps you a bit, buddy!
