Good day,
I have a Toyota CHR automatic and during a pre-purchase inspection, it turned out that the engine block leaks or sweats oil on the underside of the oil pan. This problem also seems to occur in other CHR's from the same year. The Toyota dealer says this is normal and does not harm, but they do not give any further explanation about the cause.
Does anyone have experience with this problem and does anyone know where this oil leak comes from? And how can this possibly be solved? All tips and advice are welcome!

Start by checking the oil pan gasket and the oil drain plug for any signs of wear or damage, as these are common sources of oil leaks. Ensure the drain plug is properly tightened. If the issue persists, it might be best to have a mechanic inspect it further to prevent any potential damage. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!
