Hey, I have a 2011 BMW 5 Series diesel and had something similar. The indicator light flickered from time to time. After some hesitation, I went to the garage. The whole thing was actually less complicated than I thought - it was simply due to insufficient oil. Please visit a trustworthy mechanic immediately. Hey, it cost me €165 back then because there wasn't enough oil in the engine. Since the mechanic topped it up, everything has been running like clockwork. I haven't had any further problems so far. Hope that helps you!
