Hi, thanks for your reply! That sounds like exactly the same problem I had. Do you remember how much the repair cost in the end? Has anything else come up since then?

Sure, I still remember. The repair to fix this cable connection from the oil level sensor cost me €165. Since the mechanic fixed the faulty signal from the oil level sensor, nothing has happened again. So everything is fine! Hope this helps you!

Hi again, really cool that you replied so quickly. Your information is super helpful! I think I'll look for a garage near me and have my car checked there. 165 definitely sounds better than a broken engine. Thank you very much!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Peugeot 505 Diesel. The oil warning light came on and it turned out that the cable connection to the oil level sensor was defective. The mechanic replaced the cables and then the light went out. It was definitely not a minor fault, but luckily it wasn't serious damage to the engine. It's important that you get this checked as soon as possible to make sure it's nothing more serious. Hope this helps you!
