Hey, thanks for the quick feedback! That's exactly the kind of experience I was looking for. Do you happen to remember how much the replacement cost? And has anything else happened since then or is everything running smoothly now?

Sure, you're welcome! I paid €165 to solve the problem with the cable connection from the oil level sensor in my Ford. It wasn't exactly a bargain, but fortunately the faulty signal from the oil level sensor has been history ever since. So it was worth it, especially because, as I said, such a defect can seriously damage the engine. Since then, my car has been running like clockwork again and no other problems of this kind have occurred.

Wow, thanks for the helpful info! The price sounds a bit expensive, but of course, the engine is the heart of the car. I'd rather play it safe and pay the money. I'll look around for a good mechanic tomorrow. I'll keep you up to date. Thanks again!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Ford Mondeo (built in 2013), where the oil and warning lights also came on. In my case, the cable connection from the oil level sensor was actually defective. So it's quite possible that it's the same for you. However, it was a pretty serious matter, because something like that can damage the engine if you ignore it. In my case, the sensor and the cable had to be replaced. So it's not something you should just ignore or can fix yourself unless you have the necessary knowledge and tools. In short, I would advise you to find a trustworthy mechanic and get it fixed. I hope this helps you. Any other questions, keep them coming!
