Nissan Titan 2014 ABS Warning Light and Power Loss: Seeking Advice on Potential ABS Speed Sensor Issues

Loss of engine power

ABS warning light

Loss of traction

ABS/DSC system is not working

Hey there fellow gearheads, I could use some advice. I drive a 2014 Nissan Titan with a Gasoline engine and started noticing some issues – I'm losing engine power, getting an ABS warning light, loss of traction, and a non-functional ABS/DSC system. I'm thinking it might be a dodgy supply voltage for the ABS speed sensor, but I'm not entirely sure. Anybody else face something similar and can share how their mechanic fixed the problem? All responses are much appreciated. Cheers!

Hey there, I've got a 2016 Nissan Rogue that developed similar symptoms. I'm no expert (low car experience level), but I noticed an inconsistent ABS/DSC performance which gave me a hunch about a possible sensor problem. Took it to my local garage, they found out the component related to the sensor was defective, hence the chaos. Got it replaced for 170 Euro and boom - car's running smoothly again! Make sure to check your tires and brakes as these issues can often co-occur. Could you provide more info about your Titan's maintenance history? Knowing more could help pin down your issue. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Hey there! Thanks for the tip. Your experience sounds similar indeed. My Titan is doing well for its age having clocked just about 15282 KM, mostly from city drives. The last service was around the 15000 KM mark, they took a look at the brakes and tires, all seemed normal. I'll definitely take it to the garage for a check-up about the sensor issue you're talking about though. Let's cross our fingers they won't charge an arm and a leg! Cheers!

Hello again! Getting frequent check-ups might have really helped your Titan's health! I tell you what, when I carried my Rogue for sensor-related issues, the mechanic also suggested me to replace it on time, rather than waiting for a big hit. Yeah, let's hope they won't charge a fortune! If it's just a sensor issue, it shouldn't be too heavy on the pockets. Don't forget to cross-check the charges though, and maybe ask for a quote from a couple of different mechanics. For my particular case, prices varied quite a bit, so it's worth doing a bit homework. Wishing you and your Titan safe rides ahead! Cheers!

Hey! Thanks again for the advice! I'll definitely look around for the best price before I decide on anything. That's a really good point, gonna keep that in mind. Hopefully, it's just the sensor acting up and nothing else major. Fingers crossed! Thanks for wishing safe rides, – hope the same for you and your Rogue! Cheers!
