Hey, appreciate your detailed response! Your experience with your Arona seems very similar to my issue. Sounds like it's not a quick fix and I need to be prepared for some intricate work that'll need a good deal of attention. Just out of curiosity, any recollection of how much that little adventure cost you? And have you come across any similar issues since it was fixed? Stay safe and cheers for your advice!
Hello there! Happy to give a bit more insight! Speaking of how much it cost me, I had to shell out 235€ for the CAN or MOST bus repair. I agree, it's no small change but good news is, my Seat Arona's been behaving quite well since the visit to the mechanic. Guess the bit about the communication snafu between control devices did hold some truth. Haven't had any other such issues pop up, thankfully. It's almost like she's brand new! Anyway, you hang in there with your Tarraco, don't let it get you down. Stay safe and good luck with the fix!
Hello again! Bloody good to hear your Arona's been faithful since the repair. Your insight's been exceptionally helpful! I'm bracing myself for an expenditure of a similar size, give or take a few Euro. I only hope that my Tarraco fares just as well post the fix just like your Arona. Thanks for your time, your words have definitely lifted my spirits. Goodbye for now. Wishing safe travels for you and your Arona! Cheers!
Hey there, I sort of had a similar issue with my 2019 Seat Arona. The navigation and entertainment system just stopped working out of the blue one day. After plugging a diagnostic tool, my mechanic traced it back to a CAN BUS system fault. It was a bit of a pain because it's not just a simple fix like changing light bulbs. The problem lied in the communication between electronic units. He had to locate the module that was causing the failure. Once found, it was replaced, and the wires checked for any potential cause of damage to avoid repeating the issue. Wasn't a walk in the park but in the end, the system worked perfectly like before. So yeah, a heads up, it can be a bit serious if there's a faulty control unit. But don't panic, it's solvable. Good luck with your Tarraco!
